Our Graphic Design class was set a task which involved each of us to create a personal blog banner, reflective of ourselves as individuals. We where asked to follow the following guidelines, produce a style representing yourself, needed your name and needed to be lediable. This course took about 4-6 weeks to complete, from the inspiration and drawing stages, to the editing of colour, from, placement etc. This was all done on photoshop.
The construction of my blog consisted of the following stages or elements. I drew all aspects of my design first, scanning in everything, which from here i was able to specifically choose the only drawn aspects i wanted, this was possible by using the print screen tool(shift, apple, 4). This then enabled me to rearange all the images to the desired places. Turning layer upon layer on or of whilst editing, enabled each image to be individually edited, so that each image would stage out. The bluely tones of the images, link each image to the next. The main tools i used included the paint bucket tool, as well as changing the colour balance to create the desired effect. I also used the text tool, which i then was able to rotate each letter to create the appearance of a wave.
